We ordered 2 wonderful buckwheat galettes with fresh, organic meat (chicken and grass-fed beef sausage) & veggies. They were incredible and full of flavor. We've never had anything quite like them. Sadly, I did not get a picture of my husband's sausage galette

Tucked away in Blanco, TX, The 419 Bistro, Gelato and Imports is an absolute gem that punches far above its weight. The moment you walk in, you’re met with a warmth that feels like stepping into a friend’s home—except your friend happens to serve incredible food. The whole wheat waffles are a standout: crisp edges, fluffy inside, and just the right hint of sweetness. Their gelato? Next level. Rich, smooth, and clearly made with care—try any flavor and you’ll understand why people come back for it. And if you’re a tea drinker, you’re in luck—their tea selection is thoughtful and diverse, with blends you won’t find just anywhere. What really seals the experience is the service. Impeccable doesn’t even cut it. The staff are genuinely kind, attentive without hovering, and clearly love what they do. Whether you’re popping in for a quick scoop of gelato or settling in for a slow breakfast, they make sure you feel valued. It’s rare to find a place that nails food, vibe, and hospitality all in one shot, but The 419 Bistro does just that. This spot is a must-visit for anyone near the Hill Country who wants quality with a side of heart.

Had a nice relaxing lunch here with my wife on Tuesday. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. Had tourist items for sale in other parts of the interior. Very clean. Friendly staff.

We wintered in Texas last year and 419 was on my list, unfortunately we didn't get there until this year. Definitely not what I expected and I was thrilled with the European decor. My classic breakfast was cooked to perfection! The staff was delightful and we will be back. Thank you 419!!

Word around town is that we have a fancy chef serving up amazing dishes on the square. It’s a quaint shop with some gift items and a meeting room. It didn’t have a dinner vibe to me but nice for a quick lunch. The gelato flavors rotate but salted dark chocolate and pecan and goat cheese caught my attentionThe chef leads with crepes both sweet and savor. There was also a listing of pastas that overtook my attention as I smelled the garlic cooking and caused me to order a to-go of the bolognese. Fresh salads, soups and all day basic breakfast is also available. No cork fee on the byob.If he keeps serving up this kind of food, this place will quickly need an update to a full commercial kitchen and more seating!

This place is a diamond off the beaten path! Sit in their elegant, charming French country restaurant with small boutique style items for sale around you.Get the coffee, get the crepe, get the gelato!! It’s all amazing! My only regret is I didn’t order the omelet too.Have patience if they’re busy because they’re making it all from scratch and not skimping on quality. Quality takes time!!This place is a MUST visit!!

Super tasty, organic, scratch-made food with a quiet and cheerful atmosphere! The owners are committed to quality sourcing, whether that is their boutique clothing, jewelry, candles, etc, or their menu items. The buckwheat galettes are my favorite, but their pasta dishes, smoothies, salads, and all-day breakfast plates are all incredible- as is the gelato, of course. The staff are wonderful and caring people as well. Highly recommend.
